Windows Live Messenger contact list sending me URLs?

A couple of contacts in my very small contact list are sending me links . I opened the first couple to see what they were and although they were different urls, they were to do with

"See who has blocked you on Messenger"

The message says the contact

"Has just signed in on a mobile device"

I have tried to find info as to a fix but haven't been able to come up with one as yet.

I've done virus scans with a couple of products, registry scans and fixes, spyware/malware/adware scans and removals, all to no avail.

It seems that if when I opened the link I let the nasty into my computer.

I suppose its some sort of virus that seems to be resisting detection and eviction.

Has anyone come across this dilemma and are you able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance

If they sent you a message saying "See who has blocked you on Messenger" it more than likely means they have a program for msn blocks that just sends out messages using their msn.

Theres no need to worry.
