How long should it take to download Windows Live Messenger????

ive tried to download it several times. its been unsuccessful...everytime it just shown a box that shows transferring files and it doesnt even say how long its going to take to complete the download. i am very frustrated. i hate downloading things but i want to download the live messenger. when i tried to download it it took more than an hour(i never completed the process) and i am wondering if its supposed to take more than an hour. help!!!

Depends on your internet speed and connection. If you have a like a mobile dial-up card; prone to disconnection, then go to a DSL or LAN then transfer to your computer. If you downloading somewhere other than Microsoft.com, then trying going there. If you still have problems, then go to download.com. But if you have dial-up or low bandwidth then yes and hour may be possible.

Do you have a firewall preventing downloads? This maybe a reason why.
Hi there (waving) It really should only take about five minutes, tops! You might have too much stuff downloaded on your PC, and that might be why it's taking so long to load. I'd go into your Control Panel, and try to get rid of some of the stuff you might have downloaded that you rarely use, and delete them to make more space. Other than that, I can't think of anything else. Good luck! :o)
If you use dial up, then yes it can take over an hour. Even some broadbands can be very slow too. Go back to msn.com download from there, and just be patient.

with dsl 20-30 min cable 30sec to a min
mine took like 30 min [i think]

so it shouldnt take that long

not long at all really bt depends on ur antivirus and ur source .... sherv.net is pretty quick and has lodz of wicked accesoriez for messenger
