Windows Live Messenger keeps freezing?

My Messenger started freezing up on me today. It was working fine around 4, but then I decided to take a short nap and left my status on busy. When I got back, I turned my status back to online and talked to one person. But then once I tried to click at the window (I was viewing a website and the chat was blinking) the window just went white and froze. A minute later, while I was trying to see what the problem was, another chat by the same person popped up and was blinking. So I had to close it by deleting the process. I've tried loading the messenger many times after, but they would always freeze with the toolbar turning white while I sign in. Sometimes it even freezes while I'm just looking at the sign in window. It finally worked for 2 minutes about 15 minutes ago, but once a chat came up, it froze. It isn't working again. I have msn plus installed and for some reason, the messenger icon appears on my toolbar and disappears once I point over it. Can someone please help me?

hi

did you recently install some new MSn stuff?? Skins, animated displays, script etc? those often make MSn freeze ..in this case uninstall that stuff, I had an animated display and the same happened to me so I removed it and now MSNworks fine

scan also your PC for virus

go to

http://www.pandasoftware.com

use activescan for online scanning ..

if it finds some files and won`t delete them (due to commercial reasons that might happen) copy%26amp;paste the report on the notepad, search the files and delete them. don't forget to unable your antivirus temporally before online scanning

in case activescan won’t work, use this one its really good too

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home....

anyway you can also restore your system to a date when MSN worked fine

I hope I helped

There's a secret unofficial patch for WLM and it fixes most bugs and also enables the use of colors on your name, but for others to see the colors they have to have it, too.

It's called Messenger Plus! Live

uninstall it and reinstall it. if not get a new antivirus or format it.
If you have a beta version, there might be bugs in the program. I downloaded the beta, and I can't install an older version, so I'm stuck with it freezing every 5 minutes...sigh

They are failures occurring in most accounts Messenger (not all), if you have problems the only thing that remains is to be hoped that the resolve to try some of the programs available on portalmes to fix.

The ruling is not on your PC but Microsoft

As it is not happening to everyone but a portion of the test users with the program:

# WMSN Serversx 0.4 Beta to change the server connection by another messenger that is not caido.Instrucciones:

Once downloaded, WMSN Serversx 0.4 Beta, you have only to choose a server, providing a test server, and whether it is clicking on September Online Server

What error does it give you?

Use troubleshoot to fix the different problems associated with a bad connection to msn servers.
i know how you feel if it isnt working uninstall it and sweep your computer for any windows live files(do this yourself no programs)and delete any you have!
I'm not sure, but lately I haven't been able to send any messages and I want to know what's happening too!
When it isn't working when you press sign in, a troubleshooting box should pop up or something saying 'Fix This.' This should tell you what you're looking for.

Windows Live Messenger Error Code: 81000306. I Need Help!!?

Hi!

This morning I turned my computer on and opened up MSN but it was taking ages to log in, then it came up with a box saying "Error 81000306."

I was using Messenger just yesterday and have had it for a long time. My internet is working fine, I can use Hotmail and I can even log in on my sister's account, but not mine.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I have deleted all the junk off my computer, and gotten rid of the "proxy settings", and followed all of the steps the MSN Messenger told me to do but it is still not working.

I need HELP!!

your internet could not be hooked up or you don't have a connection

Windows Live Messenger Error Code: 81000306. I Need Help!!?microsoft office 2007 internet explorer

You should contact WLM help at http://support.live.com. It's a problem between their server and your account. Since you can login through hotmail and you can connect with your sis' account, it's definitely not an internet connection problem!
Hi There,

Just so you know that you are not alone, I am having the exactly the same problem.

woke up...can't connect to MSN...internet works fine...my GF can connect to her MSN...I can connect to my hotmail...did all the stuff on troubleshooter and microsoft website....(twice since the tech support replied and told me to do all the same stuff). Plus a re-install. Nothing has worked.

Problem with Windows Live Messenger?windows mobile

go to tools on the menu bar

I am guessing that there is a "check box" next to "Always on top"

Click on it (if you click tools again you should not see the check box)

This method will not minimize the msn window but msn will run behind the window you are working on.

Problem with Windows Live Messenger?safari browser internet explorer

What exactly has it stopped doing? When you click a window behind it, it brings it to the front and puts the messenger window behind the web browser. In some cases it may minimalize and you can't see it. When you need to see your contact list if you can't see anything in the main screen, do the following:

1. RIGHT click the icon in the system tray

2. Select and click the opion which allows you to view your contact list/messenger window.

There may even be an option which says, "Keep this window on top" which keeps messenger on top of any other window or application you have running.

What you are calling "shrinking" is probably minimalizing...as in it disappears from the screen all except for the small system tray icon in the lower right corner, near the clock.
